About The Event

Hailing from one of the most beautiful places in the country Walla Walla, Washington is an oenophiles playground. If you like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Riesling, Chardonnay then you should be looking at Washington wines. We'll spend our week hanging out with the new frontier of world class juice coming out of the Pacific Northwest. Many of these producers have been around for over 30 years, yet virtually go unknown in the world of fine wine.

Our days will be spent with the best winemakers and owners in the business. We'll visit with Jerry Solomon and his winemaking team at Sleight of Hand for a tasting, dinner at the winery and music galore. We'll visit old friends at Waterbrook for lunch and older vintages. Just next door is the newest cool kid in the area Valdemar. We'll hang out and have tapas with 5th generation owner Jesus Martinez, who's original family winery hails from Rioja, Spain.

Our friend Greg Harrington, who's also a Master Sommelier is making some of the most elegant Rhone varietals in the world. We'll spend an evening eating and drinking with his team at Gramercy Cellars. And of course our old buddy John Bookwalter won't be outdone, so we'll go spend some time by the river and roast a whole hog at the winery. Great food and unbelievable countryside. We'll stay at the Marcus Whitman hotel in downtown Walla Walla, which is within walking distance to no less than 20 tasting rooms and numerous shops, bars, restaurants and art dealers. All in all over 9 winery visits, a whole hog dinner, salmon and oysters for days, private chefs, a river boat wine tasting down the Columbia River and the best scenery in the Pacific Northwest.
