Day Trip of a lifetime in Virginia Wine Country!

Come travel with Heath Porter and Chef Antwon Brinson, a 5-star duo who have run some of the most revered food and wine programs in the United States. Get a tour of the vineyards and wineries personally from the winemakers. Hang out with chefs for cooking classes and break bread with winemakers in their homes and feast in the vineyards. Too good to be true? The best part is all the planning is taken care of. And guess what? We are planning these trips in our own back yard for Fall in Virginia Wine Country.

A typical day starts with a private bus pick up for your group in the morning. Relax and enjoy the scenery while we voyage to a local sustainable farm. You will meet the owner and hear the story of their land, then taste and gather fresh produce with the crew. Next, we head to an award-winning winery to hang with the winemaker and check out the latest vintages. This includes tasting from barrels, touring the cellars and hearing the tales of their beginnings. We then proceed to a tasting with the owner, followed by a short cooking class. Of course, after all these tastings and cellar work, you will be starving for lunch in the vineyards.

After lunch we head to another artisan farm. This could include bread baking, fishing, cheese making or more. We learn the process that leads to the love of the land and our thankful bellies. We’ll add some of these goodies to our baskets before our final stop of the day. Another world class winery visit! At our last stop we check out the vineyards and meet the best winemakers in the land. An in-depth tour of the vines and tasting overlooking the vineyards. What better way to end the day then absorbing the scenery the grapes come from while sipping the juice they make?

Lastly a peaceful ride back home where you will be safely dropped with a head full of memories and a bag of goodies for dinner. This schedule is ideal for a group of 4 couples or 8-10 people and a day in the vines. We can also plan trips for 2-4 days with the addition of rooms, more travel, ridiculous amounts of great food, wineries and farms with Chef and Heath.

One day experiences $750 per person (all inclusive other than additional individual purchases)
