Heathen Wine Tours heads to Portugal and Spain! Oh yeah, and what if we do this while they are in the middle of harvest???? WHATTTTT? That's right our wine making friends have summoned us to come get dirty and this is by far the best summons I've ever been part of!!!
We'll start our trip with a 3 night stay in the north of Portugal in the town of Amarante at the 5 star Relais & Chateaux resort, Casa da Calcada. This 16th century palace sits overlooking the Tamega River and is the home to a Michelin one star restaurant Largo do Paco. We'll use this as our home base as we spend the next days in and out of the vineyards of the Douro Valley. Our winery stops will include some of the most revered and awarded wines in the world.
