Tasting in Spain with the Head Wine-O! (virtually)

Heathen Wine Tours was scheduled to be in Spain for harvest at the beginning of October. But due to a couple of things out of our control we had to press pause. So we think we should at least spend an hour of our lives dreaming about our next trip and drink some of the local juice to go with it.

Our very own owner and Head Wine-O, Heath Porter is going to lead us on a fun, somewhat interactive and extremely non pretentious tour of two of the most revered wine regions in Spain. We'll taste an Albarino from the "Green Spain" in the vicinity of Rias Baixas. We'll then grab for a red from Rioja and one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the world. Heath will have maps, pictures and slides to go along with the presentation of really bad jokes. We'll also be sending a recipe for traditional Spanish tapas and invite our old friend Chef Antwon Brinson of Culinary Concepts AB to join us for a short cooking demonstration. Slightly educational and definitely a lot of fun, we'll guarantee that you'll laugh and learn at the same time. The event is open to the public on Instagram live, but you can also order the bottles from us for free delivery and drink along during the festivities. Abadia di San Campio, Albarino is the white and the red is Lopez de Heredia, "Cubillo" Rioja.
