About The Event

A behind the scenes VIP pass to a week of wining (and winning), dining and scenery like you only read about in books and see on the big screen! A journey to some of the most legendary wineries in the world. Interwoven with the brightest new stars all in their cellars, vineyards and backyards. We'll meet the owners, taste with the winemakers and hang out in the cellars of the greats. Names like Terralsole, Selvapiana, Il Palazzone, Poliziano and Fontarutoli all legends. The standard for which many others measure their wines. We'll hang with the new kids, and meet wineries you've never heard of that will be the classics of tomorrow.

But humans cannot live on wine alone, so of course we'll feast like Kings and Queens. We'll enjoy dining at local restaurants, join winemakers at their favorite local haunts, eat in vineyards and cellars. We'll take part in cooking classes and make our own pasta with Chefs from the region. Olive oil production, castles, cobbled streets and new friends along the way. To see both regions we'll split our week into three day intervals. In Tuscany we'll hold base camp at the 17th century Castello di Fonterutoli in Chianti! This resort sits in a tiny village surrounded by vineyards, and its own winery. From here we'll explore the countryside leading to some of the most highly regarded wine and food in the world.

Our next 3 days will be spent in one of the most underrated regions known to man, Umbria. Rustic, balanced wines with pedigree and soul.  We'll enjoy the local pasta, pizza and pork cooked traditionally over grapevines in ancient hearths. We will also visit the historic village of Orvieto, the legendary duomo and underground tunnels. Followed with a tasting at Tenuta Le Velette and their underground cellars built by the Etruscans. Since it's a private tour, it's only fitting that we have a private hotel. Set on an olive orchard, we'll commandeer the Rastrello Hotel in Panicale. A sleepy village of 250 people set at the foot of the mountains in Umbria, in a medieval walled village. The fun will never end....

All in all we'll visit no less than eight world class wineries. Hang out in some of the oldest cellars in the world, eat the greatest local produce, chill in centuries old palaces and medieval villages like it's our job! This tour will be crazy cool with architecture and historic cultural influences tied to each location we visit.

Lastly, we are excited to provide this tour on dates that coincide with spring break. We believe teaching to be one of the most under appreciated fields in the world. Therefore, we decided to offer this experience on dates and in locations we believe would be most beneficial to the people melding the minds of tomorrow. Cheers to you educators!
