Virginia Wine Tour
What could be more beautiful then wine in Virginia? The trees are turning, there's a little nip in the air, grapes are coming off the vine, and chefs are cooking the bountiful, earthy savory foods that invoke roasting, smoking and curling up with a bottle of wine....or two!

About The Event
Virginia is for lovers.......WINE lovers that is!!!! That's right Virginia has been planting grapes since the 17th century and our old pal TJ (Thomas Jefferson) tried to turn Monticello into his own version of France. Over the years the fine vintners of Virginia learned a thing or two and now have over 140 wineries. Grapes like Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Viognier and Chardonnay thrive here. We'll spend our time visiting wineries and winemakers who have won awards across the world. Barboursville, Veritas, Stinson, Blenheim and more. We'll visit the historical "Octagon" relics built by TJ set amidst Barboursville vineyards and enjoy lunch with winemaker Luca Paschina. We'll visit our old friend proprietor/winemaker Emily at Veritas for barrel samples and a meal with their local produce.
Our home for the time will be the beautiful, privately owned Orchard House Bed & Breakfast in Lovinston, VA. Surrounded by vineyards, lakes, hiking trails and the Blue Ridge mountains we'll have the resort to ourselves. Homemade breakfast each morning and evening's next to the lake and fire pit with friends. And if this wasn't enough, we'll call in a couple of the best Chefs in the state to handle private meals for us.
A cooking school with Chef Antwon Brinson of Culinary Concepts in Charlottesville. A Chef driven school that takes underprivileged adults and teaches them culinary and life skills. Chef Antwon will teach us how to prepare a classic 3 course lunch followed with wine pairings. Our final evening will be spent with Chef Kyle Krieger who owns 3 of his own concepts in Virginia and led the kitchen at the world renown Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. Chef Kyle will provide a hands on, whole hog roast and fresh trout smoked over open fire at the 100 year old barn on the B&B property. And much, much more to come.......
